Empowering Ezekiel & Christopher
“My story begins with Ezekiel, who has now aged out of services. At the time, I was a mother desperately seeking guidance on how to help my non-verbal son, who was showing signs of high-functioning autism. ECI assigned us to Ms. Denise, who taught us many techniques to communicate with Ezekiel and helped him improve his eye contact through pathways techniques, which we still use today. His communication skills have definitely improved, and he now speaks full and clear words and sentences.
When Ezekiel's services ended, I had just given birth to Christopher, who was born with a lip and tongue tie. I hoped ECI could help me as I struggled to feed and latch Christopher. Fortunately, ECI, along with Ms. Denise, a developmental specialist, and Ms. Crystal, a feeding specialist, provided invaluable support to Christopher. Now, he is almost one year old, meeting all his goals and thriving in both feeding and developmental skills.
I want to express my gratitude to Ms. Denise and Ms. Crystal for their support, time, patience, and everything they have taught us, which has greatly helped me and my household. We have come a long way and are proud of our successful and happy outcome. Again, thank you.”

Transforming Luca's Journey
“My son Luca started with ECI at around 10 months old. He began with physical therapy and worked with Yvonne. She was great in helping me learn different exercises to help encourage Luca to stand, and eventually walk. Luca then began working with Bethany, for speech, right after he had turned one. He see’s her 4x a week and she has really helped him go from barely babbling to finally finding his words at around 2 1/2. She also helped us get a communication device through our insurance which has been a great tool for Luca.
Last summer Luca also started working with Nancy for OT and she has helped us in so many ways. She has worked with him by doing pathways, interactive play and different sensory activities. Nancy has also helped tremendously and given support with different behaviors that Luca has that we are working on resolving. Overall the team has helped Luca with his social skills, eye contact, back and forth play as well as working on self help skills. He has grown so much and we are so thankful! ”
